Boat Adventures
We at Ecotours Zodiac Adventures want you to have an experience you’ve never had before; we want to be part of your summer stories that you tell over and over again! Just minutes away from the Ecotours wharf, take a zodiac ride with us and get a front row seat to witness the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve.
Ride alongside Gull Island one of four islands; that make up the reserve, where thousands of seabirds call home from May to September. View Atlantic Puffins, Common Murres, and several types of gull as they gather to increase their ever growing numbers, continue to ride with us along the ocean waves to spot the elusive humpbacks.
Can you be the first to spot a 10 foot humpback spout off in the distance? Be careful not to be fooled though by Newfoundland’s very own spout; a natural landmark along the southern shore the Spout has been deceiving people of seeing humpbacks for decades. We will continue to go around towering sea stacks rising up from the ocean like Mother Nature’s very own skyscrapers. Slowly creep with us into the eerie mist of sea caves to unlock their hidden secrets. Newfoundland’s rugged coastline has a great many beautiful and exciting things to see. Join us as we take in all the sights that Mother Nature has made available to us along Newfoundland’s southern shore and you will not be disappointed.
